tipsOne of the biggest questions I get asked is how to find places to do talks.  So I wanted to share some of my Top Tips!

Before we talk about those tips there is a more important question to address…

Where are your ideal clients already gathering?

This question is VERY important in moving forward with the my tips…

1.  Do a Google search for meet ups or networking groups in your area where your target market are hanging out!

For example, if you serve women business owners…search women networking groups, or women’s business groups in your surrounding area.

Sometimes you may not find something in your city or town, but include the cities & towns around  you.  You may be surprised what you find!

2.  Look for places you could give a talk where your ideal clients are already gathering

For example, if I am a health coach…a GREAT place to give a talk would be a Chiropractic office, Health & Wellness Spa, massage therapist
place,

So what you are doing is a COMPLIMENT to those places!  Reach out to those places in your surrounding community and see how you can support each other!

3.  Ask your social network!

The people you already are connected with…ask them if they know of places you could speak.  Do they have any contact names of those places?

You never know unless you ask!

4.  Put it out on Social Media!

Do a facebook post asking if anyone knows of specific places that have speakers.

5.  Go networking for Speaking gigs!

One of my former coaches shared this tip with me…go to networking events looking for speaking gigs, not clients!

This happened to me a few times that I was asking if anyone knew of groups or organizations that had speakers…and I got speaking gigs!

BONUS TIP: Look for conferences or Multi- day events that have speakers

There are PLENTY of conferences & multi-day events that have speakers. Do a google search for them and scout out where are good opportunities
to speak!

**Keep in mind…these opportunities may be where you need to pay to speak on their stage

Have a Outstanding week!
